killing a seagull before sailing is a sign of bad luck.

According to Greek mythology; Sisyphus,
the king of Ephyra(now Corinth) cheated death twice. Then Zeus punished him. He ordered Sisyphus to roll a huge boulder to the top of a
hill. Then enchanted the boulder such a way that it would roll away from
Sisyphus just before reaching the top. This way there would be an endless
process of Sisyphus taking the boulder to the top and it is rolling down.

Director Christopher
Smith's made movie, “Triangle” is based on this theory.

<b><i>Characters,
Summary, Spoiler: </i></b>

At the starting
of the movie, we get an introduction of a mother, Jess and her autistic son. After
that we see Jess is going for a trip with her friends on a yatch. At the middle
of the sea, they get caught in a storm. Their yatch gets flipped over. Suddenly
a Ship appears out of nowhere. They start to think that they are saved. But when
they got into the boat, they found no one. This was suspicious. So, they planned
to search the ship. Then they found someone was trying to kill them on the ship.
They tried to save themselves but at the end, no one was alive except Jess. Jess
was able to catch the murderer, but the murderer told Jess “You have to kill
them all, if you want to go back” and fall into the sea. This was the end of
one cycle (at least we think so at that moment).

&nbsp;Just after that Jess notices another yatch is
coming from far away. The most shocking part was, it was another version of her
and her friends’. And they were coming toward the same way she came to the ship
previously and they were saying the same lines. This was the starting of 2nd
cycle.

If we talk
about the story, The storyline is good and engaging. This creates lots of questions
and gives the answers of most of them. The movie shows one loop and there are 3
cycles in the it, and they are created in such a way that they complement each
other without creating any confusion. The director connected the pieces
logically. Finally, when we start to think that we have understood the story
and the story has ended, then we get a real twist. This makes the movie even
better.

If we talk about the acting part, Jess i.e., Mellissa George was not outstanding
but ok. Others were also moderate. Nothing extraordinary. I would suggest watching
the movie for its storyline.

The background
music and ambiance are perfect. Also there are small details throughout the
movie like the use of seagull.

Though most
of the questions are answered thoroughly, there is no explanation about how the
ship came out of nowhere. What is the story of the ship? Maybe it was left for
interpretation intentionally.

If you like
sci-fi, horror, psychological thriller, time-loop, I’d suggest giving it a try.
For me it is underrated gem.
