 “The world is ending, but life must go on”...

The movie is extended version of the academy award winning short “9”, that was released in 2005. This was a student project of Shane Acher at the UCLA Animation Workshop. The same Shane Acher, who has worked on visual effects of some famous movie like “The lord of The Rings”. Director of the movie joined hand with Tim Barton ( The director of Corpse bride) and Screen writer Pumella Pletter (who worked for Monster house, corpse Bride) for this movie.

The main characters and summary:&nbsp; The whole movie is depicted on a post-apocalyptic world with no sign of life.

The main characters are 9 alive ragdolls. The youngest (and rebellious) amongst them is named as 9. The story revolves around finding the answer of three questions. First, why the world lost everything? Second, how, and why they came to life and Third, Is there anyone else alive?

Analysis:&nbsp;The plot is simple, with no notable character development, but the visuals are extraordinary and on point.&nbsp;&nbsp;

There are not much of talking or music. Which creates a perfectly creepy environment and keeps the suspense alive. The puppets look almost similar but their differences in personality are portrayed beautifully. There are some action sequences and obviously villain characters. The theme on dark side. So not a kid’s movie.

Conclusion: I wouldn’t
say it is a great movie, but it is obviously a good one. If you love sci-fi,
animation, horror, and dark theme you should at least once watch this movie.
And if you like this one, I’d recommend watching Corpse Bride, The Night Before
Christmas.
